FAQs
The product
What is Skæp?
Skæp is a daily creatine supplement in single-serve stick packs. Each stick has 5g of creatine monohydrate and 200mg of magnesium glycinate, in a raspberry lemonade flavour. One stick a day, mixed into a glass of water.
Why sticks instead of a tub?
Tubs get left in the cupboard. A stick fits in a gym bag, a handbag or a desk drawer, and the dose is already measured, so the rushed days are still days you take it. It costs more per serving than a tub — that's the honest trade-off, and it's the one we made deliberately.
Why 5g of creatine?
5g a day is the dose used in the bulk of the research on creatine monohydrate. We didn't want to under-dose it to save cost and then put the number in small print.
Why creatine monohydrate and not something newer?
Monohydrate is the most studied form by a wide margin. The newer forms are usually more expensive without better evidence behind them.
Why is there magnesium in it?
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Plenty of people training regularly are already taking both creatine and magnesium separately — this puts them in one stick. We use magnesium glycinate rather than the cheaper oxide form, which is gentler on the stomach.
Does creatine cause bloating or weight gain?
Creatine draws a small amount of water into muscle, which can show up as a slight increase on the scale in the first weeks. It isn't fat. Bloating is more commonly linked to loading protocols — very high doses in the first week — which isn't necessary. A steady 5g a day works.
Do I need to load?
No. Loading reaches saturation faster; taking 5g daily gets you to the same place, just over a few weeks instead of a few days.
When should I take it?
Timing matters far less than consistency. Pick whichever time of day you'll actually remember.
Is it suitable for women?
Yes. Creatine is often marketed at men, but the research supports it broadly. Skæp is built for women who train, though nothing about the formula is sex-specific.
What does it taste like?
Raspberry lemonade. It's formulated to dissolve properly rather than settle at the bottom of the glass.
